The news of a man getting shot by police during a domestic dispute must have startled residents of Ashgrove, Brisbane north-west. However, it gets even more surprising considering that the man charged at the officers wielding a samurai sword!
As reported by ABC, this incident occurred today (Thursday 11th December 2014) at around 8:30pm. Provoked by the man’s aggression and refusal to yield to the officers’ call to “drop the knife”, police officers fired a total of six shots, hitting him in the stomach and chest.
